Quarantine: Art Made in Isolation
Updated: Jun 20, 2022
On March 17th, I became unemployed due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak and subsequent government-mandated closures. I transitioned into a socially distant lifestyle in order to do my part in preventing further spread (as all who are able should). In the time that I have spent self-quarantining at home, I have gotten back into a healthy practice of creating art every day. This page is an ongoing archive of those creations. Last updated: 4/20/20.
Another thing that has been keeping me busy is writing letters to friends, and sending tiny artworks along with them. The following pieces are watercolor and ink paintings that I cut into 4 smaller pieces and mailed out around the country. The full versions are available as prints on my Deviant Art page.
One of the routines keeping me sane in these strange times is my daily walk. Almost every day since this began, I have walked around Denver. Of course I am careful to practice social distancing while doing so. These are photographs that I've taken on those walks, showing how the city shutdown looks from my perspective.
If you're interested in supporting me, please consider buying art! I have prints for sale on my Deviant Art page, as well as originals (inquire directly). You can also make a donation if you enjoy my content and want to contribute to help me make it through these unprecedented times. I'm on Venmo and Cashapp.
Or, simply following me on Instagram is a great help too.
